Embark on an unforgettable 4-day, 3-night adventure through the remote landscapes and authentic communities of northern Thailand, traveling from Chiang Mai to Mae Sariang and the Mae Hong Son region. This immersive journey combines dramatic mountain scenery, national parks, jungle trekking, traditional villages, Buddhist culture, and unique border experiences.
Begin your adventure at Mae Wang National Park, discovering the fascinating rock formations of Pha Chor and Kew Sua Ten, followed by a scenic mini trek through the surrounding forest. Continue to Ob Luang National Park, where you will spend the night surrounded by the peaceful beauty of northern Thailand.
Travel onward to Mae Sariang, a charming and lesser-known town nestled among mountains, rice fields, and traditional farming communities. Experience authentic local life, visit Chom Thong Temple, and explore the town and its welcoming community at your own pace.
The journey continues to Mae Sam Laep, a remote Thai–Myanmar border village where Burmese and Karen cultures meet. Enjoy a scenic boat journey along the Salawin River, which forms part of the natural border between Thailand and Myanmar, and visit a local border school and Ban Tha Ta Fang Karen village.
On the final day, experience the atmosphere of a traditional morning market and Buddhist alms-giving, followed by a scenic journey through Hmong agricultural areas to Doi Inthanon National Park, Thailand’s highest mountain. Discover the spectacular Wachirathan and Mae Klang Waterfalls before returning to Chiang Mai.

Upon arrival, have your free time for leisure or wander around the city to admire the tranquil atmosphere in its surroundings. Stay overnight in Chiang Rai.
Morning after breakfast, we will visit the local market to discover the local products. After that we visit the world-famous Wat Phra Kaew where the Emerald Buddha image was once enshrined. Move on to Wat Phra Singh where one of Thailand’s most beautiful Buddha images is now enshrined. Then a short drive from Chiang Rai City to Black House. Baan Dam (Black House) is the unique creation of national artist, Thawan Duchanee. Part art studio, part museum, part home, Baan Dam is an eclectic mix of traditional northern Thai buildings interspersed with some outlandish modern designs. Lunch on your own account and in the afternoon we will take our boat cruise on Mae Kok river from Chiang Rai to Karen village. Transfer back to Chiang Rai.
After breakfast, drive to visit Chiang Saen, the ancient city located on the Khong Riverbank. After that, visit the House of Opium Museum which shows about the opium’s history in the past in Thailand. Have lunch by your own account at the local restaurant on the Golden triangle. Taking a boat trip along the Mekong Kong River to see Thailand, Burma & Laos meet at the Golden Triangle before transferring back to Chiang Rai for your flight to next destinations.
